I’m a big big fan of Osamu Tezuka and I’ve got about 500 copies of his works. It seems that most of people misunderstand him and his works by getting a poor knowledge like the equation of “Osamu Tezuka = Astroboy (Mighty Atom)”. His messages and philosophy under all of his works and his sence of humor, dynamic expression are beyound description, though. Seeing is believing. If you haven’t read his works very much, try to get them and read them. By the way, not only reading, but I like drawing cartoons and comics a lot just as you thought. I haven’t drawn them for a long time but I’d like to draw when I have some time because I’ve got many many ideas and tools. Well, let me tell you an old story of mine —I published a 300-paged comic book when I was in Junior high. (You can see the cover at right top and the hero of that work at right bottom.) If you can meet me, I’ll lend a copy to you if you like.
