I sketched these slices of German bread on the 18th of January, 2010. I took several photographs in progress and uploaded them to WetCanvas! Oil Pastel Forum.
This Japanese sweet is called "Yomogi mochi" or "Yomogi Daifuku". It is made from rice cake and leaf of yomogi (Artemisia princeps) with red bean paste filled inside. I sketched this around one year ago, on the 12th of January, 2009.
Happy new year! This is a portrait of my son I painted for a new year greeting on the 24th of November, 2009. Chinese zodiac for 2010 is a tiger then I made my son have a bag with a tiger illustration on.
This is a winter knit cap as a gift from my parents to my son. Sketched it on the 19th of December, 2009. Now the year 2009 is ending... hope I can keep painting and updating this weblog next year, too.
This is a stone tool (or a fragment?) found at a tell in Syria. I'm not a specialist on the stone tools so I can't identify the age from this. It's impossible to carry these cultural properties then I returned them back to the site next day. Sketched on the 19th of November, 2009.
I bought some Arabian spices at the souk in Old Damascus. This is one of the spices—paprika. I sketched this bag of paprika in a hotel room on that day, the 23rd of November, 2009.
I'm tweeting. Language I mainly tweet is Japanese but any language-tweeter is welcome! Follow me!
