I used this bottle opener to open Tusker bottles when I was in Nairobi. The handle is made of a horn of a cow as you can see. I now still use this opener back in Japan. Sketched on the 28th of February, 2008.
I bought this net of onions at a supermarket and sketched. I tried to depict the net by sgraffito (scratching) like I did for oranges but it was very hard maybe because the color of the net was too pale. Everything about oil pastels is trial and error. The 1st of March, 2008.
This stuffed Bactrian camel is a souvenir from Mongolia. I am used to Dromedary camels thru my experience of travelling Africa and Middle East so this look quite new to me.. :) I painted this on the 20th of February, 2008.
I painted this sketch as an answer to the request in the Oil Pastels Studio forum of WetCanvas!. You may see the progression of this sketch here. This was painted on the 12th of February, 2008.
