This kimono is "Shiro-Oshima". I sketched this having my wife sitting (actually, she was watching tv...) after she's back home. The date is 21st April, 2007.

My wife in kimono again. She poses watching TV. The liner of this yellow kimono is olive green textile with umebachi (Japanese plum?) figures. I painted this on the 10th March, 2007.

My wife sitting on a chair in kimono. I tried to sketch her in the morning but I didn't like the result then i requested her to pose again in the afternoon. Painted on the day before yesterday.

My wife on needlework
My wife did some sewing today. It's a bit hard to capture her when she kept moving but quite interesting. What she stitch is obi of Japanese kimono.

Pio Leyva
It's been half a year since this maestro passed away. I watched the movie, Música Cubana on the 9th of September, 2006. I painted this referring the website of the film right after coming home from the theatre. Pío Leyva is such a great old musician.
