Navel oranges from a market. I sketched them on the 10th September, 2006. I remember the orange taste and juice refleshed me a lot since It was still humid and hot.
I painted this sketch on th 6 April, 2006. It's been a year since then and now the cherry blooming season is coming. This is a cherry tree in front of my place. I painted from my balcony at night time.
Japanese (Nagoyan) sweets. I don't know how to call them in English. Yellowish ones are named "Oni-manju", a kind of a bun with sweetpotatoes inside, and the white ones are "Daifuku", rice cakes stuffed with sweetened red bean filling. The plate is the one I bought in Kenya. Do they go well together? Sketched them on the 3rd of February, 2007 - the Setsubun day, the end of winter.
Cup and saucer again. These are of Wedgewood. I like taking herb tea before going to bed lately. This is German chamomile and lemmon grass. Sketched yesterday.
This cat is made of soapstone (talc?) from Kisii district, Kenya. Sometimes the stone is called Kisiistone. I don't remember when, but I bought this cat maybe three or four years ago in Kisumu. I painted this back in Japan on the 11th August, 2006.
I'm tweeting. Language I mainly tweet is Japanese but any language-tweeter is welcome! Follow me!
