Riverside
This riverside scenery is located in Gujo-Hachiman, Gifu prefecture, Central Japan. The river is Nagara-gawa (the river Nagara). I have visited there 2 weeks ago for a preliminary check of a field seminar. I have taken some pictures there and I painted this referring them. This work will be used in a poster when putting out a call for the seminar. What kind of seminar? Geology. This is my current occupation. I finished this on the 14th of August, 2006.

Sennelier oil pastels
48 color set of Sennelier Oil Pastels. I knew this because lots of foreign oil pastelists praise Sennelier's products. Unfortunatelly, art supply stores near my place don't sell them, so I decided to buy them by mail-order. I drew this with the other oil pastels on the 5th of August, 2006, the day I received this.

Pepper
This yellow pepper is also harvested by my mother-in-low. I drew this on the 31st of July, 2006 but I added blue and gray hues on the shadow later, following advices by some oilpastelists in Wet Canvas!, the artistic SNS. Thank you guys!

Apple
Another winter fruit in Japan —apple. This was drawn on the 27th of December, 2005. The floor where the apple was put looks so strange because of the stroke directions of the shadow.

Stripped orange
I tried to draw this Japanese orange stripped. This is drawn on the 19th of February, 2006. Mid-winter. Stripped in the cold season. :)

Wines
I have just bought Sennelier oil pastels and I tried. This is the first work I used Sennelier OPs (I also used the others, though...). Senneliers are very soft and its colors are very vivid. I think I have to get used to them by drawing/painting more. The date is 6th of August, 2006.

Cherries
I like American cherries. Not only the taste but shapes as well. I drew this on the 7th of July, 2006. I painted the same picture in oil later referring to this oil pastel work.
