Coins in a bowl

This wood bowl is the one I bought in Nairobi (I forgot when...). Coins inside this bowl are Kenya Shillings. I drew this on the 30th of September, 2005.

Nightwatch

This is a nightwatch I employed in Nairobi. I drew this portrait on the 9th of April, 2002. Oilpastels were quite new to me then I drew this by trial and error.

Mt. Longonot (2777 m a.s.l.) is a volcano which is located at the bottom of Gregory Rift, Central Kenya. I really liked driving down to the graben bottom thru the escarpment when I lived in Nairobi.
I drew this on the 27th of October, 2002 on the way to Naivasha from Nairobi. Masai boys came to see my drawings then.

Desert boots

I use these Timberland’s desert boots for my fieldwork. I drew this on the 30th of August, 2005 as an “hommage” to Vincent van Gogh. I have visited an exhibition of Van Gogh’s works on that day.

Catalan cat

I found this kitten near MNAC (Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya) when I have visited Barcelona in 2002/2003. Luckily I had a small sketch book and oilpastels then I could draw this. The date I drew this is the 29th of December, 2002.
