This Japanese sweet is called "Yomogi mochi" or "Yomogi Daifuku". It is made from rice cake and leaf of yomogi (Artemisia princeps) with red bean paste filled inside. I sketched this around one year ago, on the 12th of January, 2009.

I heard Demel’s Orangenschnitten is popular sweet from Vienna. This is a farewell gift from my wife’s workmate. I sliced, put on a plate and sketched (of course ate at last!) on the 16th October, 2007.
