Olive tree

There are so many olive trees in Jordan. This one is the one planted inside the compound of the flat I've stayed in. Since I sketched this in the sun, some of OPs melted and it was hard to handle (ex. see the black in the shadow). On the 21st of September, 2008. This date was my birthday. I never thought of spending my birthday in Jordan... :)

I have visited some mountainous area in Nagano prefecture, central Japan, and have got these fresh chestnuts. Although this summer was extraordinarily hot, it became autumn. Painted this at an inn on the 10th October, 2007.

Purple passion
