Happy new year! This is a portrait of my son I painted for a new year greeting on the 24th of November, 2009. Chinese zodiac for 2010 is a tiger then I made my son have a bag with a tiger illustration on.

My son's foot
I have a small problem about my large foot. It is difficult to find nice shoes fitting my feet here in Japan because my feet are larger than the usual Japanese men's. My son will have the same problem? His feet look a bit larger... It's been more than half a year since I sketched his foot. Of course he is taller now. Sketched on the 29th of March, 2009.

It's been long since I last sketched my son with oil pastels. He is now one year and four months old. I had a chance to be home when he's napping today because I took a half-day off today... on the 1st of June, 2009.

Ready to paint?
Sorry for the long silence since I last updated this blog last month. I sketched my son's hand while he was asleep together with a single oil pastel stick of Sennelier on the 30th of November, 2008. At this time, he was 10 months old and he has just became 1 year old last week.

My son
Another sketch of my baby boy at 8 month old. I tried to sketch him asleep but he got up very soon. I had to quit sketching on the way but I think I could capture. On the 12th of October, 2008.

I sketched him in a darkness. I used only white oil pastel on a black paper. It was hard to see what I was painting. He was 8 months old when I got back from Jordan and he could stand. It was on the 5th of October, 2008.

I sketched him while he's asleep. He's going to be 7 month old soon. I'm travelling to Africa from tomorrow for a couple of weeks and I'm looking forward to seeing him grown bigger after the trip! The date of the sketch: 17th of August, 2008.

I'm travelling to Syria again from today for a couple of weeks. I sketched my son while he's sleeping right before I leave my home. I hope he looks bigger next time I see him!
