This is a gift to my sons from my brother. Kuksa is a life-long wooden cup from Finland to be given. It seems a bit hard to maintain long but I hope my sons will like them. Sketched on the 22nd of August, 2010, when it was delivered.
Something illustrated on the center of this dish is a cat. My wife bought this somewhere before but I'm not sure where she did. I sketched this on the 24th of February, 2009.
This is a souvenir from my brother when he travelled Italy for his honeymoon. He said he bought this when transit at Helsinki, Finland. Yes, its handle is an antler of a young reindeer. Sketched this on the 4th of January, 2009.
This tiny handcarved bowl is a sugar pot made by a Kenyan craftsman. I used this when I was in Kenya but I kept this in a cupboard after getting back to Japan. This unvarnished surface was not suitable for the humid Japanese climate and easily got mouldy... I found this sugar pot while I was rearranging things in my room then I sketched it on the 15th of July, 2009.
This small ceramic dish is one of the wedding gift given by the bride and the bridegroom at the wedding party that I was invited to last weekend. Sketched on the 23rd of June, 2009.
