Chimaki

Chimaki ("zongzi" in Chinese) is a rice dumpling wrapped in bamboo leaves. Japanese "Cinco de Mayo" is a holiday for boys and we eat chimaki on the day. This is the one I sketched on the 5th of May, 2009, exactly one year ago. you may see this as #98 of the catalogue in my "humble but rich" book.
