Oranges in a net

I painted Japanese oranges in a net. The area of the oranges was masked with red (the color of the net) after sketching the outlines, and then I painted the oranges on the red mask. I drew out the lines of the net by removing the surface. How does it look?
This work was painted on the 6th of January, 2007.

Kac,
By "masking in red", I meant coating with red pastels over the draft outlines. The picture looks like a red silhouette in this stage. Then you paint oranges over the "red mask", all you've got to do is remove the covering layers depicting the net. I hope you'll get what I meant...
