Boring core after sampling

This is a remnant of the core after collecting small samples for detailed analysis. Careful sampling from every 1 cm from more than 20 meters was such a murderously tiring work! I wanted to keep this as a memento of the hard work (and hope of the great discovery! :D), but I found this had broken into pieces when I got flew back to Japan... I sketched this one on the 10th of August, 2009.
