Echinoderm fossil

I visited Chita peninsula, central Japan the day before yesterday and I collected some fossil samples from Miocene (17 Ma) sedimentary rocks. The yellowish part is the fossil of a sea urchin (Echinoderm) and the rock is siltstone. Sketched on the 25th of May, 2009.

I was surprised to find out that the yellow part is a sea urchin. I had to go back and look at the picture more closely because at first I thought the yellow part was a human skull!

Thank you for posting the comment. Ah, I didn't realize the fossil looked like a human skull... it really looks like that. :D
