Knitting wool

My wife has started knitting though she's on a practicing stage. I sketched the wool on the 1st of October, 2007.

This sketch appeals to me doubly, since I also knit & crochet! I have toyed with the idea of an OP or soft pastel sketch of my yarn, but it's a daunting subject. Perhaps I should just dive in. You've depicted it so well.
