Today (19th January) is my elder son's birthday. He's 4. Amazingly the time flied. This pair of socks is the ones he wears everyday when going to the kindergarten. Mongolian camel wool is the warmest cloths, I think.:) This was sketched on the 9th of January, 2012.

Cat at a manhole

This is in my neighbourhood. The cat is warming herself at a manhole since it is warm because of the underground pipelines of the central heating of Ulaanbaatar city. Outside temperature at this time was around -30°C. Mongolian stray cats are hardy. Sketched on the 7th of January, 2012. Referred to a photograph I took.

Winter camp in UB suburb

Happy new year!... it's been more than a couple of weeks since the year changed, though. I survive this freezing Mongolian winter and I'll upload oil pastel sketches as usual. Thank you for looking, visitors. This is a sketch of Mongolian traditional ger camp I painted when I visited the camp in UB suburb last month. So hard to sketch outside in the cold weather.
