Thank you very much for visiting this Art Gallery. My oilpaintings and drawings are shown here. The oilpaintings are devided into 5 groups depending on the period and the oilpastel drawings are devided into 4, the pencil drawings into 2 and the charcoal drawings into 2, respectively. Click on the thumbnails/titles to see the enlarged images and information and if you’d like to see larger images, please click pictures on each page. Zoomify flash is currently used for only oilpainting works but I’ll convert drawing works to Zoomify soon. Javascript and flash player are required.

Oilpaintings

49 painting works shown here are the ones I have painted since 1990, my highschool period to 2002, just before leaving Japan, and the ones after getting back to Japan after one-year stay in Nairobi. Gallery I has mainly high school period works, Gallery II for undergraduate period, Gallery III and IV are for doctoral graduated period (before going to Africa) and Gallery V are for the period after returning from Africa.

Actual sizes of the works are much larger than usual computer monitors. The information can help you to imagine the actual sizes in centimeter. And I added some comments and explanations to almost all paintings —I hope you read them if you like.

Oilpastel Drawings

I started these oilpastels in Africa because I couldn’t carry all the oilpainting tools. Gallery I is for the works in Kanya, Gallery II is mainly for the works in Kenya as well but some works in Spain and Ethiopia and Gallery III and IV are for the works after comming back to Japan.

Report of my personal exhibition held in Nagoya, Japan in the period of March 2nd — 11th, 2002. I wanted to build this section using QuickTimeVR but unfortunately I couldn’t do that in my computer settings, then I built with HTML clickable map. I hope this can help your imagination.

Report of my second personal exhibition held in Tokyo, Japan in the period of February 25th — 27th, 2005. This exhibition was a collaboration with Irish music. Not only the works, but many photographs of the live performance by Rivendell, the Irish trad music duo, are shown here.
