Neon-lights reflected by the wet stone-pavement, an inspiring empty bottle. This is a scene of Paris. I found this picture of beautiful stone-pavement in a mens magazine and decided to use this as a base of the painting (added the bottle to the magazine picture). Pavement with reflected lamps on it and sidewalks might remind you of Paris atmosphere. A bottle left on the road is not a bottle of wine nor champagne, its my favorite Bourbon whiskey. I guess even this Kentucky Bourbon matches to Paris roadside because the name of Bourbon is after the historical French colonies of central U. S. :-) This kind of a little stylish scene, to which maybe you can find the similar situations anywhere, is good for a small canvas. This rainbow-colored flooding light literally reminded me of rainbow this is symbolized in the title. Like this, this work includes some implications of opposing elements. Splendid civilizations and traditions to be conserved. High-class luxury and poverty on the road. Natures mystery and artificial trick. Dreams and reality. I think something inscrutable potential expressiveness of the phenomenon called rainfall which washes away and clears up all of bright and dark dreams. |
