Moonlight Dog

I painted this small work for relaxation while the busy year-end period. When I was reading an article about dogs of Paris, I accidently saw a picture post card of Paul Delvoux’s painting on the wall at my room. Two images of the French dog and the Delvoux world were mixed inside my brain and this motief was made. This street dog looking for something is a symbolic image of outsiders but it is spotlighted in moonlight and shows us its existence. Strangely I haven’t painted moon till this work though I am an astronomer (or astronomical fan?). This work was exhibited at my first personal exhibition as a new work like “a Pianist”.
